Daan Pind is delivered through pinds in Pind Daan. Poojas must also be performed along the banks of any of India’s sacred rivers, such as the Ganges River in Varanasi and other holy rivers according to Hindu sacred writings and traditions.
Pind Daan is conducted at numerous sacred locations across India:
- Gaya
- Varanasi
- Haridwar
- Allahabad Sangam
- Mathura
- Ayodhya
- Nashik
- Kurukshetra
Among these, cities such as Varanasi, Allahabad, and Gaya are seen to be especially auspicious for this reason.
